I reported these herbs (mint, Italian parsley and basil) from trader Joe’s last week the soil is still damp from when I watered it because the soil was dry when I repotted.
Is there any saving them? What can I do to avoid this next time?

I don’t repot right away. Grocery store plants are usually not treated well, so I bring them home and acclimate them until they look healthy. I’ll repot only when necessary.
Plants don’t like to be repotted generally.
Did you water them at all? That first one looks super dry.
Because those herbs are only going to last a month or so.. i would not repot, maybe put the little pots in another more decorative pot and just cover them with pebbles. Something like this

Did you pack the soil in tightly? Because that would be bad
