Please be gentle, I am not very well versed in plant care 😅

I’ve had this monstera for about 6 years. She took a turn for the worst and I kind of gave up because I’m a bad plant mom and all her leaves are basically dead now.

BUT I just noticed this new growth so maybe there’s a chance of saving her? Looking for some guidance on what to do to give her the best chance of survival!

(Second picture has the new leaf)

Plant probably does not get as much light as needed. Is in the window but sunlight is indirect. I do have a grow light that is on a timer though.

Prior to her sickness I honestly was watering whenever I remembered, maybe once a week. She was in a pot that did not have drain holes. This was the routine for years and she never had issues. I repotted her into a pot with drain holes a few months back. Since she got REALLY sick though I am ashamed to admit I have not been watering her 🥲

I would start over with this plant. Make a cutting of just the healthier growth, you cut the top part below a growth node and then put it in water and let it put out new roots. When it has lots of roots, you can plant it in a bark/coco coir mix that is well draining. Try searching on YouTube for how to make cuttings of Monstera. You want it to have good lighting, whatever you’ve had previously didn’t cut it and has led to it looking like this (stretched out with few leaves). It needs sun.
