There was a giant vine that had grown up and wrapped itself around the tree. It had taken over most of the top of the branches and I don't think the tree tried to sprout any leaves because the vine was getting all the sunlight. Also the vine was probably stealing a bunch of its water from the roots. I cut the vine out but as you can see only one small branch is sprouting leaves now. I talked to my stepmom about it and she's a horticulturist by trade and she told me to rub off just the top layer of bark and see if it was green or brown and it was brown so she's pretty sure that those limbs are dead. My question is there anything else I can do before giving up on it?
