If you are a beginner and purchased your orchid at a grocery store, more than likely it is of the genus Phalaenopsis. Most common orchids, especially Phalaenopsis, are hybrids and it is difficult or impossible to identify the name. This isn’t to say your orchid can’t be identified. In many cases, it might be possible to somewhat identify the parents of your orchid.

It’s a beauty! That’s pretty much the answer though. Unless someone has a named one that looks just like that. But there are so, so many!

I have the same one. I picked it up at Produce Junction for $8. I love that place for the low prices but unfortunately all the orchids are NOIDs.

They all have names but you’re literally just guessing if you don’t know

  5. I have one very similar that was called Phal. Showpiece.

there’s so many hybrids that look the same that even if you been fine one that like identical, you’re probably wrong, if it didn’t come with a cultivar name on a tag, it’s always gonna be a NOID

    Genus wise it’s a Phalaenopsis.

Good luck on the hybrid id tho
