The very subtly named “4×20 Quick Hits” debuts today on Hulu (a very apropos day). It’s made up of four short documentaries, each telling stories related to cannabis culture. Perhaps the starriest of these is “Highly Unlikely,” a look back at how the 2004 stoner classic “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” got made with the then-unknown Kal Penn and John Cho in the leads. Other options include “High Times,” a look back at Tom Forcade, who founded High Times Magazine.

“Kevin,” out today on Prime Video, is an animated comedy about a house cat (voiced by Jason Schwartzman) who decides he’s done living with humans and leaves home to strike out on his own in New York City. As a cat owner living in a city, this entire concept stresses me out a great deal, but the comedy comes from Joe Wengert (a writer on “Big Mouth” and “New Girl”) and Aubrey Plaza, who voices one of Kevin’s owners, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Zach Galifianakis can currently be seen in the tech world satire “The Audacity” on AMC+, but you can also catch him on the helpfully named “This Is a Gardening Show,” out Wednesday on Netflix. It’s a docuseries in which he learns about gardening. I appreciate that even in times of uncertainty in the TV industry, someone with a checkbook and decision making power said yes to the concept of Zach Galifianakis + gardening. Perhaps he’ll learn more about ferns.

Richard Gadd is a three-time Emmy winner for “Baby Reindeer,” and now he returns with “Half Man‚” out Thursday at 9 p.m. on HBO, streaming on HBO Max. The new series finds him costarring alongside Jamie Bell as a pair of men with a complex, fraternal bond (they’re connected by family, but not blood relations), as the show jumps back and forth across the decades to depict their relationship.
