Saw a few wilty leaves on my looxoo a few days ago, and when I glanced over today the whole plant appeared to be rotting?! No idea what happened! I’ve had this plant for two years and it’s in an oyama pot, so care had historically been pretty hands-off.
This was the only remotely green leaf left—as you can see, there is some browning by the stem 😭 Is it worth trying to propagate from this? Or will the leaf be a lost cause because the browning has already started? Kicking myself for not pulling leaves a few days ago when I noticed the wilting starting.
(The little “greenhouse” in the background of photo 3 is what they’re kept in. Maybe not enough air circulation??)

It is possible to regrow the plant from just the leaf tip. Slice it off above the brown patch with an exacto knife. Prop the leaf with toothpicks on the surface of damp potting soil with the cut side down in good contact with the soil. Zip into a ziploc for a couple of months out of the hot sun. I’ve done this a couple of times to save plants with crown rot like yours. Good luck!
There’s no harm in trying.
Did it get cold?
Could it be thrips? I’m not an expert by any means.
Looks like root rot that made it to the crown. It usually happens when the plant is in a larger pot than its root system can handle. Root rot is a silent killer because the worst of the damage happens below the soil line. The visual signs are wilting foliage and crown death
Tooo wet!!
