It’s hard, but a good broadleaf weed killer usually does the trick. I use something called T-zone and it works quickly against it. The trick is that it grows very quickly and produces loads of seeds, so you need to try to take care of as much as you can as early as you can to help reduce the amount of seeds that gets distributed. BTW, it’s called spurge and once you have it it’s pretty guaranteed to hang around year after year so all you can do is try to control it.
Salting the earth won’t even help, I’ve seen this stuff spite all salt, sun, and dehydration.
It looks better than gray mulch.
