Late Queen Elizabeth Put Meghan Markle ‘in Her Place’ After She Was Allegedly ‘Rude’ to Royal Gardener

The late Queen Elizabeth II allegedly reprimanded Meghan Markle after Prince Harry’s wife was said to be rude to a royal staff member.

During royal historian Hugo Vickers’ appearance on The Telegraph’s Friday, April 10, episode of The Daily T Podcast, cohost Camilla Tominey asked the expert what the late queen’s true feelings were of the Duchess of Sussex, 44.

“I don’t know what she thought of her, but I suspect that she thought less of her as time went on,” Vickers, who wrote multiple books on the royal family, said.

When Tominey brought up an alleged “row” involving the former Suits actress being rude to a gardener at Windsor Castle, he said, “Well, that I do know to be true.”

“She apparently was rude to one of the under-gardeners, and the head gardener went up to the queen and reported this, and the queen got into her car and went down and tore a strip off her because you cannot be rude to staff,” Vickers claimed, explaining that the queen reprimanded Meghan for her alleged actions.

According to the royal historian, Meghan “didn’t know how to behave with staff,” adding: “She’d been rude to the gardener, so she needed to be ticked off, put in her place.”

During the podcast episode, Vickers and cohosts Tominey and Tim Stanley touched on multiple stories involving the Duke of Sussex, 41, and his wife.

Tominey said another report involves Meghan allegedly “requesting that people didn’t park in a nearby car park next to a sports field because she ‘didn’t want to look at cars from the windows of Frogmore House.’ ”

Vickers also claimed that Her Majesty — who died at age 96 on September 8, 2022 — did not like that Harry and Meghan named their first daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Princess Lilibet’s first name is a nod to the queen, who was called “Lilibet” by her family.

When asked if he thought it was sweet, Vickers said, “To use the name that was used by [the queen’s] actual private family? I know I don’t think so. No, that’s absolutely shocking.”

“Did they ask the queen?” cohost Stanley questioned, to which Vickers replied: “No, they didn’t. [Meghan and Harry reportedly] said they did, but no they didn’t.”

“The queen was furious,” Vickers claimed.
