Come along with me for a walk through our garden as we get everything planted for the year.

In today’s video, I’m sharing an early season garden tour and showing you exactly what we’ve planted so far. This is one of my favorite times of year on the homestead, everything is just beginning, full of potential, and so peaceful.

We’re still in the early stages, but I wanted to document the process and share our garden plans with you as it all starts coming together.

DISCLAIMER: My husband and I recently bought a neglected 34-acre farm with several barns, buildings, and a two-story farmhouse. Our plans are to restore the farm and farmhouse to its former glory all while adding our own individual style and design. We decided to vlog the entire renovation process for our own personal records and for future generations. We are in no way experts in renovating nor do we claim to be professionals. All Lewis Acres Homestead videos are for entertainment purposes only. We recommend you always consult professional experts when completing any home renovations and wear proper protective gear.

I am not a professional I am only sharing what I have learned and my opinion.

  1. How fun!!! Isn't it funny how we lose track of the years! Blueberries planted near your entrance will always provide you a snack as you come and go… Happy gardening!

  2. Don't forget to put wire screen in the bottoms of your raised beds to keep the voles and other burrowing critters out. 🐀

  3. Very nice garden area – I love the raised beds and how you have them spaced out. I can relate the the destruction that chickens cause. I live in a small city in Florida – they have free roaming chickens throughout town. They travel through my yard a few times a day and are such a nuisance. They dig op planted beds, even in pots, they crap all over everything, patio furniture, walk ways and never shut up. I personally do not have chickens and not thrilled the town has them. The only time I appreciate them is in the spring with they have a flock of babies and you get to see them pecking around and the little chirps. You have a nice chicken coup, it's cute. Love the row of blackberries – yum and lots of jam.

  4. Your garden is going to look so beautiful! I was just wondering are u guys planning to plant any fruit trees?
