Working on a pollinator focused backyard xeriscape in NM on a budget.

It's not much currently but I'm slowly working with drought and heat tolerant, water wise plants, focusing more towards pollinators, native plants, grasses and cacti. Need a few more additions, namely prickly pear and some native grasses to fill in some spots then I'll focus on on ground cover and getting the water bowl set for things to get in and out of. The end goal is to give native ground dwelling species, pollinators and even birds a place to take a load off while trying to survive the overdeveloped urban hellscape that is my neighborhood.

And yes. I'm standing on AstroTurf… My kid needed a backyard he could play in and I was rapidly losing the battle with the goat heads… I didn't really have a choice. I apologize in advance to anyone who may view it as sacrilege.
