Last season, we had gravel pulled out of the flowerbeds and mulch put in. I am concerned that the service put some weed killer before they put the liner down.
I'm not too attached to these bushes and I was thinking of changing them out anyway. I just didn't want to take on the expense this year if I could avoid it.

No. They dead.
Change them, that’s probably buxus semperiverens and they will probably die anyway.
If you want something structural you can choose other species likes ilex or taxus but i will suggest you something more colorfull with better use for everyone.
Boxwoods have developed some sort of blight lately. Have seen this in many places. They are gone
Easter was two weeks ago.
Hard to say from this far but it’s either Boxeood Blight which is fungal or it’s Boxtree Moth which can be treated with BTK. If it’s Boxtree Moth, they can bounce back. If blight, tear out and replace with a shrub that doesn’t suck ass.
God solar panels are so hideous
Spray paint
Nope
I think mine took a hit from super warm weather and then a frost.
Mine started to grow again and green up a touch. Then I cut them way back. So idk if they’d recover. I’d make sure you still have some green to them. Then if they seem alive maybe google a fertilizer boost for em and give em water to help recover.
If you were already considering removing them, consider this a message from the universe. Time to move on from the boxwood balls.
This is from some moth or something. I got it last year in my boxwoods. There’s a spray that can save them if they’re not too far gone. Maybe you could save the one by the railing. It’s called bonide spray
Nah this is blight, and those plants are done. Boxwoods are lame anyway. Opportunity to plant something much more interesting and beneficial!
If you want to keep them will have to spray them green! Replace with another type see what there is at the garden centre
