Gardening is a popular past time for man, especially here in Yorkshire.

As a result, many people frequent some of our county’s brilliant garden centres, where they can buy seeds, supplies, or plants. Mirfield Garden Centre, in Kirklees, has a little bit more to offer.

Inside, it does feature a brilliant selection of plants and supplies. Whether you’re looking for roses, ferns, mint, or grass seeds, you can find it at the centre.

In addition, it sells ornaments, furniture, pet supplies, and even clothing.

The store has a good atmosphere inside, and friendly staff can be seen assisting customers throughout the store. The layout can be a bit confusing at first, but you soon get the hang of things as the shop is clearly divided into sections.

Some reviewers have also highlighted the food on offer, with one writing: “We called in for lunch and although I only had a turkey/brie ciabatta it was cooked perfectly and generously filled plus the salad was fresh. All the staff were pleasant and good humoured so I can’t fault it and will return.”

Another said: “We had a couple of afternoon tea vouchers to use from Christmas and so we booked the dog friendly section so we could take our furry friends with us. We had a couple of picky requests (two vegetarians and an allergy) and they catered for everything we asked for and the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back again.”

Yet another reviewer wrote: “This place is wonderful, the food is delicious, there’s indoor and outdoor dining. The shop is full of lovely gifts and there is a huge array of plants and trees to peruse at your leisure. Ask for a card, with this you’ll get amazing deals and discounts here, and at their sister centres. Enjoy!”
