Redditor [u/Chris](u/Chris)[8292](u/Chris) recommended I make a post of the trees I’ve planted on my property. Here ya go.
I’d happily take some tree growing advice if anyone has something to offer. I know nothing about trees and am trying to learn as quickly as I can.
Here’s some amplifying info:
1) soil had to get completely rebuilt as it was dead clay/silt when I got the house. Loads and loads of compost and time later, we have life in the soul. Now it’s slightly acidic and mostly clay loam with some sand/DG.
2) The Crepe Myrtle worries me the most. It’s about 10 feet from my house. It’s been stuck at that height and has been pretty stale for two years now
3) strawberry tree and olive tree were most recently planted and seem very happy!
4) Two citrus trees I made a mistake on. The soil settles and the root flare is below grade now. Though they seem happy for now.
