I was gifted this plant by a nice old guy at work. He said it's Lavender. I think it is Rosemary but his level of certainty has made me unsure of what I thought I knew.

So what is she? Any and all help appreciated.

  1. Rosemary. The leaves of lavender tend to not have such pronounced middle white-ish midrib

To my eye that’s 1000% rosemary. You can always break a leaf or two off and give it a sniff.

Have a lamb roast and use it as a flavour herb. If it is a magnificant pairing it’s Rosemary.

Rosemary- just run your hand over and smell to confirm

Lavender leaves have a more greyish colour, rosemary is quite green.

Very much Rosemary and the smell is distinct and will be stronger in the leaves than Lavender will be.

I vote rosemary I have both. Rosemary has a more woody stem. That’s definitely rosemary.
