I posted last week about dozens of small plant that flourished in my backyard after rain. I was surprised by the response and the comments were divided between what the ID was. Well, it's been a week and I think we can settle the debate once and for all. 99% certain I'm dealing with a bucketload of flickweed and 100% certain I'm in for a fun day of weeding.

Thanks for the update. I was in the not-dichondra camp, mainly because of the way they all germinated in one go after you had disturbed the soil, and I’ve only ever known dichondra to have a more creeping habit.

But I ended up deleting my comment as I was uncertain and didn’t want to pollute the discussion with confident wrongness in case I was wrong!
