I am planing on replacing windows and window frames.
The quoting glaziers have stated the miniature rose bush in front of the window needs to be cut back so they can erect scaffolding.
In the attached photos I have drawn a red arrow at the approximate height to which the miniature rose will be cut back.
Will the rose bush survive such heavy pruning? Especially if the pruning is within the next 2 months.
The miniature rose is more than 15 years old (when I bought the house). They were well established at that time.
Thank you.

Yes. I would prune it even lower to be honest.
Looks to me like a Cecile Brunner rose. I have one and they are very tough, and will cope with almost anything. It might not flower as well as usual next year but I’d expect it to survive. Give it a bit of rose fertiliser in spring and regular watering. It should recover.
Yes it will survive. I hope I don’t need to tell you to not just cut it across horizontally like that though. You need to look for the buds/nodes on the stems. [https://share.google/BMpVmgHEmyDaZpECF](https://share.google/BMpVmgHEmyDaZpECF)
