Personnel were called to a home on Garden Road around 9:25 p.m. for the report of an e-bike on fire in a garage. At the scene, firefighters found that a person had removed the bike from the garage, but it was still on fire, the department said in a Facebook post.
“While this action probably saved damage to the garage, there is a risk of getting seriously injured by the fire or the unstable, burning lithium batteries,” the fire department noted.
There were no reported injuries from the fire, and the Orange Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
