  1. Wow-Just found you -I am from Michigan USA and will incorporate all your secrets this season – a big thanks and congratulations on your retirement! Can you please clarify the type of compost you use and also the type of material you use for the water wicking? Some of the terms that you used I am not familiar with. Am also going to try the 3 plastic bottle method as well. I travel during the week and not sure this is suitable for me-do these baskets require watering the reservoir daily?-or could I get away with water it every 5 days?…My BIG TAKEAWAY NO SWISING NO SWASHING NO PRESSING the compost LOL – and also using compost and not potting soil-which I suppose I can get from my local nursery? and lastly-using tomato fertilizer (who knew??) Thanks so much! 🥰

  2. Thank you for this wonderful and comprehensive lesson in compiling hanging baskets – very inspiring. Thankfully I have never been a squidger but nevertheless want to improve.

  3. Wow what a fantastic video 😊 really enjoyed watching so glad i came across it. Have a great retirement and thank you for giving up your time to do this video best one I've ever seen. ❤

  4. I'm absolutely amazed by all of these techniques. I've been doing everything wrong as well. I don't think ignorance is a bad word. We don't know until we know😊
I can't wait to buy my flats this year now. Here in Ohio I have a garden center that I shop from every year and spent $12 for 24 baby plants. I fill my car for all of my own baskets and in ground plantings and I raise them up a little for selling them to neighbors so that essentially I don't end up spending anything on beautifying my place! I love this video!

  5. Roger thank you for your knowledge and expertise that you share in this video tutorial. Happy retirement and blessings to you sir.🙏🙏🙏🤗

  6. Thanks Roger. THe best gardening tips I have ever watched. How can I see more of your videos? Your hanging baskets are the BEST!!

  7. Brilliant! Thank you❤ These tips on not squishing the plants down can be applied to planting in a garden bed too!! The right side, angle, then fingering the plants through, great tip!❤

  8. Serious question because I don't know – what's the difference between squidging and pressing down. Does it only refer to the center flower?
