Your thoughts very welcome!

What would you do with our fabulous Flea find? And what colour would you paint the bathroom? And do you think a bath tub needs to hold water in order to be considered successful?!

Join me for a gentle chat about a vintage inspired Flea find and a look at our European British Victorian country house. This historic home, built 168 years ago, still retains many of its original period features, such as Jacobean style oak panelling and stained glass windows, and so I am keen to decorate the interiors sympathetically.

This hillside home is greatly enhanced by the views over the English countryside, and I am keen to share its beauty with all of you. The garden at this time of year is full of life, both flora and fauna. Join me for a walk outside, accompanied by my own violin music.

P.S This video is in 4K, so don’t forget to adjust your quality settings.

  1. Oh gosh, Tim! The wallpaper was MADE for being picture framed on the staircase wall!!! The window is seen from a from a different angle so the wallpaper would not detract or compete with it. In fact, it would enhance the already spectacular staircase area. There would be so much life, color, grandeur, and uniqueness!

  2. Another delightful video. The violin piece with the garden tour was exceptional. Also, I love your ideas for the bathroom redo. The citrine color is very nice. Thank you for inviting us in. 😊😊😊

  3. Hellooo! Good to see you again. Please don't cut the Morris print. You'll figure it out. I agree about the staircase in that the window should shine on its own. The music (as usual) was devine. I understand about the pines. Trees become like friends. I had a Norwegian Maple next to my deck that used to frame my photos ever so nicely. I never realized Maple trees bloom until I was upclose & personal with it! Alas, it became problematic & had to be cut down. I sure miss its shade in the summer. On the bright side, I see towering storm clouds like I never saw before now! Good luck with the revamping. I LOVE you cove work! Put out a video when you can. They're worth the wait.

  4. You gents truly have a marvelous piece of property. Exquisite gardens and views! Looking forward to seeing you transform the bathroom. Cheers! Adam

  5. I can't describe why but I really like your voiceover, it reminds me of something, maybe a narrator in a children's story like Sebastian Cabot telling the story of Winnie the Pooh. Good job on that ceiling border, I thought it was plasterwork.

  6. I love the coving you painted! I really thought it was wood! The bathroom ideas are wonderful. I'ts always wise to invest more money in bathrooms and kitchens because of the wear and tear, and it saves re-doing in the long run. The Morris wallpaper is gorgeous. The gardens look amazing! So beautiful. Thank you for a lovely tour!

  7. Dear Tim, I loved your violin playing. It is a perfect accompaniment to your wonderful video.
Gardens to die for, and a fascinating house. I am very glad to have found your channel🌷

  8. That printed Morris panel is so gorgeous! I would not commit to that green in the bathroom. Try painting a 20 x 30 piece of heavy cardboard with the color and then tape it to the wall to see if you would be happy with it as the light changes with the time of day. You are a very talented fellow. Thanks for sharing all your gifts, especially the music in the garden.

  9. Tim you never fail to please. Your home in Springtime is glorious! And your view is a treasure.

  10. Hi Tim, i just love to watch your. Videos! There are many reasons why! Don't stop, please! Have a great week!

  11. OMG that May Morris piece is so gorgeous, naturally you had to have it! At first I thought the stairwell would be perfect, but actually I agree that it would compete with the window and they both deserve to be a feature. This may be a bit odd idea, and not easy to execute, but would it fit on the ceiling of your Morris gallery hall? Sistine Chapel-like?
Your garden is very lovely, congratulations on the results of all that hard work. There is simply nothing else like the English countryside in spring. And as many others have commented, simply wonderful music to accompany the walk.
The citrine colour will look amazing behind all the prints. Gallery walls everywhere!🎉

  12. What was the little deer thing in the garden? I really like the pattern repetition from the coving to the mirror. I think the green for the bathroom wall is slightly bilious, a touch too yellow. And your playing was glorious ❤

  13. Your video was a lovely interlude in the day. Your gardens look wonderful, so peaceful especially when combined with your music. ❤️

  14. It would NOT be a negative to place it on the stair wall. Each of the two , paper and window , hold their own and the third wall then is screaming/crying for a portrait. Yes, with a frame around it for the paper is a must….your instinct to purchase it was kismet, genius! Your inner thoughts for your home are true and valid! Cheers and Love!

  15. I think the Morris would look lovely in the stairwell. I don't think it would overwhelm the stained glass and you can fill the other side when you find something appropriate.
And your music is just lovely! Good luck with the damp/scaffolding!

  16. Brilliant video! You are an natural artist with so many talents!
I love how you express your love to your garden with music and create this special mood.
The trompe l'oeil painting in the bathroom is amazing!
And your flea market find is made for your house!
    Greetings from Germany!
