I have sort of accidentally-on-purpose become a bonsai mum.

I love the challenge of rescuing plants and rescued these two where they were dying the discount bin at my local hardware store. When I got them they had only a couple living leaves and a lot of dead. I've been keeping the soil moist but well drained and periodically fertilizing and kept them in my brightest window. They seem to be slowly recovering and I'm mulling about putting them on my balcony. (Alas no garden.) I'm hesitant to even think about styling until they're healthier.

They are 'helpfully' labeled "bonsai" and the website on the label is no help. Any ideas guys? My thought is they're Snow Roses. But any tip on how to help them are appreciated.

  1. Fukien tea probably. I wouldn’t fertilize until it’s growing vigorously
