  1. Just got my garden prep started this weekend. .75 tons of compost spread, tilling and starting lettuce next week

  2. I've been toying with the idea of laying weed control fabric in between my beds and then covering with bark. Would you recommend this?

  3. "This video is absolutely amazing and so meaningful! Huge thanks to GrowVeg for sharing this 'golden list' of 5 seeds for April 🌱. Your detailed guides, from direct-sowing carrots to those clever zucchini and cucumber tips, are incredibly helpful for garden enthusiasts like me 🥕🥒. I especially loved the segment on interplanting flowers to attract beneficial insects—it’s such a sustainable and thoughtful approach 🌸🐝. The content isn't just great; it’s truly inspiring and makes me want to start my own little patch right away. Wishing the channel continued growth and more high-quality videos like this! Can’t wait for your next update! ✨🙌"

  4. I love this channel, but I also really dont like it at the same time. Only because almost all of my wage goes on gardening and sowing seeds! Thanks for these informative, entertaining and useful videos

  5. Always throws me off for a second when u call stuff by proper name. They dont uae any of those terms here jn the US that i have heard. I learned it all from my uncle, mom and grandma

  6. Thank you…have been wondering whether to give celery a go. I might now 😊
May I ask, where is your watering can from? I need a good rose and I am struggling to find one

  7. April tricked us this year- near-zero and all! The desperate rush to build an indoor propagator with LEDs was unlocked yesterday!

  8. I grew cucumbers last year and they remained hairy and vile tasting….I think it was because I didn't water them enough!!

  9. grew so much zucchini last year, I had no idea what to do with them. I am only growing veg I absolutely love to eat this year.

  10. Is it too late for us to start? South-east England and never grown anything edible before.

  11. Hi Ben do you or have ever used soil blocks or even grow pucks, I had a garden allotment about 10 years ago but had to give it up for massive building work and finally got it levelled out and new big shed last year and this year I've just rebuilt the greenhouse and re pained it with polycarbonate ( dear God it's flimsy) so I'm hoping to get growing again but I thought I might have missed the sowing time, I actually want to try hydroponics and trying to come up with my own system. I've binged watched loads of you videos to get my self jeed up. 👍

  12. Is it possible for you to give any tips or make any videos for container gardening for those that have full shaded gardens? Seems every video I find is mostly of full sunny gardens that provide lush and beautiful plants 😔

  13. I have been gone from my half acre in Paradise for three years. I came back to find the fence is in need of some serious mending, and I now have an odd combination of pest control:
A pair of ravens decided to build a nest at the top of a 150’ tall ponderosa pine tree. They were both quite messy with the oak sticks they are using to build the nest with. Each morning around 9:00 I would go to my garden area and have to pick up sticks which had fallen since the night before. I finally saw them landing up above. As they hit for a rough landing, what with all the heavy load and all, the sticks banged into pine branches, knocking a few out of their grasp in the process. When the ravens fly way overhead, they each sound like lethal boomerangs. My neighbors and I have always had real issues with birds gobbling up newly spouted crops. I have no problems whatsoever with birds this year.
Also my snail population keeps decreasing. I discovered a raccoon was at my window last night. Since they eat snails, it appears they are also helping me out.

  14. Our chard lived all winter here and we got many meals……unless the goats got out then we had to wait for new leaves to grow. Lol

  15. Could you do a video on growing vertically and on arches please? (I can see you have a couple there 😊). I’m wondering if you sow the same veg on each end of the arch in each opposite bed, or if you do a different veg on each side?
Also, could you discuss rotating beds and if you do that? Thanks Ben!
