In 2025 we moved into a terraced house/rowhouse here in Copenhagen which came with a rooftop terrace. We haven't really used it so so far since this place is windy and cold for much of the year. I decided to turn it into a place to grow food and this is the first bit we managed to finish. We spent all of Saturday putting the boxes together and setting it up.
They are "kapillærkasser" (self-watering boxes, not sure what the correct English term is). I planted some herbs as well as a small tomato plant, peas, and beans. In May I will also plant basil next to the tomato plant (it's too cold at the moment).
It's a bit of an experiment as I haven't really done anything like this before, but I hope to learn from it and plan to expand it over time as I get more experience.

I know nothing about your building or your raised beds. That’s a lot of weight on the roof. If that weight is positioned poorly it can ruin your roof.
