I got this pothos a month ago, and it keeps getting this stuff on it. Originally I thought it was mealbug eggs (I had a lone soldier and washed all this white stuff off my roots and cleaned everything) but I went away for a week and a half and I came back and it was all over my roots. I tried doing a bit more research this time, and I'm seeing ppl say it's root growth, but I'm skeptical…
Also, it's only on this plant, I'm not seeing it on any of my others.
(My plant sits by my window and gets the morning light)

I have a quite a few pothos water props and haven’t seen this before so I’ll be interested to learn the answer as well!
Those are baby roots! It’s a good sign. Don’t change the water too often, only when algae growth starts, pothos put out rooting hormones in the water
New baby roots starting to form
Root spots.
Looks like cool root growth! I would maybe just be a little careful about the bottleneck on the prop jar. Sometimes having to squeeze the roots out through a narrower opening breaks the roots 😭
I *believe* this is called root primordia!
I literally posted this exact thing about a month ago and not one person said it was root spots lol.
