But I don’t always have the time, space or patience. And some seeds are tricky to sow, germinate and grow on for whatever reason. Where that is the case, plug plants are a great option! And they are sustainable (less production, packaging involved than big established plants) and affordable (the smaller you buy, the cheaper the plant). I have grown so many perennials from plug plants including so many plants in my fave island border 🌸 I knew I wanted LOTS more erigeron to underplant my roses so plug plants it is! I planted them straight off after hardening off for a few days, and the greenhouse can be dedicated to food and flowers I love to grow from seed.
