There’s probably a bug under the foam, a spittle bug. The foam is bitter to deter predators
In the UK we call it [Cuckoo spit](https://www.rhs.org.uk/biodiversity/cuckoo-spit-spittlebugs)
When I was young, my dad said it was snake spit. I think he just told us that so we wouldn’t walk in the tall grass. But yeah, there’s a bug in there.
That thing brown thing beside the foam is the bugs empty shell. Like cicadas 🙂
