Welcome back to the cottage! Today feels like the very first breath of Autumn, cool breezes, soft light and a cosy shift in the air 🍂✨We start with an evening walk around the cottage garden to tend to my very dramatic raspberry plant. With the forecast predicting a drop to 13°C, I’m hoping this is the true start of Autumn. We chat about upcoming garden plans, pruning, and kitchen garden ideas before heading down to the orchard to check on the wild pumpkin vine and see if any pumpkins are forming.
Autumn officially arrives overnight with a low of 12°C and the most beautiful sunset. The next morning greets us with stunning blue skies. Inside, I tackle a small but satisfying job, changing over my lamp timers. This is my top home lighting hack: timers on lamps make everything feel cosy and effortless.
Then we head outside to tackle the Night Jasmine hedging. After a quick tidy up, the rain clouds roll in, so we call it a day and enjoy the shift in weather.
A gentle, seasonal cottage vlog, I hope you enjoy this first taste of Autumn with me.
