Introducing the flowers of Euphorbia echinulata (formerly Monadenium echinulatum)! These are quite unique for a Euphorbia.

The flowers are downward-facing, with a semi-closed cup-like structure. They are distinctly ribbed and bumpy with a very unique textured pattern.

As a bonus, the plant develops an impressive, well-developed caudex and root system over time.

How cool. I’ve never heard of that before. The flowers sort of remind me of Petunia patagonica.
