This is the airplant i found it florida and yes i checked its not a giant airplant so its legal, i just would like to know why it looks dry and like it could snap and dying even 20 minutes after i water.

i spray the leaves every couple days and soak every week or so, it is still living but the base and leaves look like they could snap and like they are brown and dead, why isnt it slightly more green and will it improve once the roots grow onto the bark?
