I have been thinking of propagating ginger that I got from the Asian market. I kept the ginger in a cool and dry place, and it began showing some growth (bottom right).

I isolated these segments and used the rest to make masala chai. Now I'm not sure if I cut them too small.

I have a small pot and I felt that putting a whole ginger in it would be overkill, as I'm aware that the rhizomes can multiply quite a bit in the pot.

Tips would be appreciated 🙂

They do look a bit small but the worst that can happen now is you put them in the pot and they don’t grow. Imo just have a crack and see what happens.

Too late to worry about it now, really. Just pop them in some soil and see how you go.

That said you have visible growth points on at least two, if not three of these pieces, so I reckon you can be at least a little hopeful.
