ok, why? the outside was drying nicely and then the inside rotted. I know the soil is too organic but I dont have issues with it.

When was it last watered? I’ve noticed that sometimes when lithops aren’t watered for months on end they are more susceptible to fungal infections that aren’t noticed until it’s too late.
You win some you lose some Im afraid, we all been there, try not to be disheartened.. and remember one out three in🤪
