I was in a rush at Home Depot yesterday, but I still did a quick pass through the plant section because…plants. I saw this absolutely gorgeous plant, fell in love instantly, grabbed it, and continued with my original mission. Once I got home, I started researching it. The tag says Peacock Plant, but Gemini and ChatGPT both agree on White Fusion. Based on everything I’ve read in my research so far, it sounds like I may have accidentally brought home one of the biggest divas in the houseplant world. I moved her into my bathroom for the humidity, which is a little depressing because now only my partner and I will ever get to see her beauty. For as long as she remains beautiful, at least! Has anyone here had success with a White Fusion? If so, what’s your secret sauce? I’d love any tips, strategies, or warnings before she decides to collapse into a dramatic death spiral in my bathroom window.

I hope you repot because these plants has some kind of deadrope in there roots
Not to dry and do not overwater her
Good luck
can i ask how much and what brand it is? wanna see if my HD will get them!
Take care to maintain 70% humidity, use a soil mix of 50% regular soil and 50% aroid mix, water only with distilled water, provide indirect and not strong light, and from there it’s mostly luck. Good luck.
My bitch is called Lady Amalthea, bc she is a goddess of monsters. Anyways, she loses her shit if I move her away from the humidifier. Other than that, she’s been alright—even survived some extensive cat chomping early on.
Only had her for a couple months, but she’s doing okay.
Humidity is your best friend
I just ordered one too. 😂🫣
Check out YouTube videos by Aloha Plant Life. Despite living in Texas, she’s been able to grow healthy Calatheas (including White Fusion) for over 5 years. Followers call her the Calathea Queen. I’ve learned a ton from her, and can keep my White Fusion alive now. Though it currently only has two leaves. My fault – I overwatered her.
I believe you have a Stella, not a White Fusion (Goeppertia lietzei “Stella” iirc).
The Stella is a mutation of the White Fusion. The leaves look quite similar, but the good news is that, in my experience, the Stella is a bit hardier than the White Fusion. For example, I wouldn’t consider 70% humidity absolutely necessary for the Stella, but it definitely doesn’t hurt. Like all Goeppertias they are sensitive to e.g. chlorine, so watering with distilled water is definitely a good idea, as well as some chunky soil.
Beautiful plant! 🪴
