I got my lancifolia already in a bad state on sale, unaware about how hard they are to care for (I was, still am, an absolute plant beginner) but determined to make her better. I educated myself best I could, put her in a bright but not direct light, watered with distilled water (we have extremely hard tap water here), and next month I'm planning to get a small humidifier and move her somewhere that can handle higher humidity. She is praying like she should and only drooping for a day or two when I dare to water her a bit too much. I love this little drama queen far too much.
She has a lot of brown leaves (already got her with most leaves having crispy edges, but it got worse – low humidity) so here I was bending over, talking to her saying to endure until next month when I saw four of new leaves!!!
I am reading this subreddit religiously watching for new tips, just wanted to share the joy of seeing a proof of life from a difficult, already battered plant after a month of care from a total beginner.
