I live in a weird climate. The coldest that it gets is 44 degrees Fahrenheit, and the hottest is 70. It’s foggy a majority of the year.
Most of the native trees in the area are pines and junipers. Unsurprisingly, most of my bonsai are pines and junipers. However, I do have a few trees that thrive despite my climate.
All of my Japanese Maples and Trident Maples are thriving. I can’t seem to stop them from cycling in and out of dormancy 2-3 times per year. I thought this would stress the trees but…nope. They come back stronger (almost) every year.
Does anyone have experience with caring for bonsai in a foggy climate? Or, more broadly, a weird climate like mine?
