ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Members of CITY SC worked to help bring new life to a community garden in the Ville neighborhood of North City on Thursday.

The team worked with United Way and Seed St. Louis to pull out weeds, prep new garden beds and plant fresh vegetables in the space.

“Fans come to the games, and we might not feel them, but they’re there, and we feel that is so helpful to us, and it just gives us energy. We can give back and do the same,” said CITY SC defender Lukas MacNaughton.

Thursday’s efforts are part of ongoing efforts from the MLS and their commitment to environmental sustainability.
