TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – You’re invited to get an up close look at the work of the Shawnee Co. Master Gardeners – and maybe take home a few ideas for yourself!
The K-State Extension Shawnee Co. Master Gardeners are hosting 2nd Saturday Garden Walks. Members Patty Burk and Judy Curtis visited Eye on NE Kansas to invite everyone.
Patty and Judy said the Master Gardeners have seven demonstration gardens around the area. They showcase a variety of gardening types and techniques.
The first walk will focus on their Woodland Garden, located next to the Garden House at Lake Shawnee. They said it showcases many shade-loving plants.
Other walks will follow through through August.
The 2nd Saturday Garden Walk with Shawnee Co. Extension Master Gardeners is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11 at their Woodland Garden, near the Garden House at Lake Shawnee.
They invite people to enjoy Tulip Time at the Ted Ensley Gardens while they’re there.
The Master Gardeners Garden Response Line also is open for questions at 785-232-0062.
