B&M has been impressing us with its affordable range of garden furniture this year, with its ‘foldable’ egg chair catching attention for being cheaper than Dunelm. The latest to enter our radar being the brand new Hampshire Bistro Set.
This three-piece set is the perfect compact size that will fit all households. For smaller spaces, it is perfect for enjoying the sun on balconies and patios, while, in larger areas, it is ideal for adding additional seating when you have a few guests round for a BBQ.
Coming in at just £125, it’s significantly cheaper than similar bistro sets on offer from other high street retailers, particularly Dunelm, where there is a vast range of styles that are borderline identical to those offered by B&M – but for hundreds of pounds more expensive.

This includes the Pacific Lifestyle Bazel Outdoor Bistro Set that offers the same three-piece suite and boho-style design. However, since it costs a staggering £799, B&M shoppers can essentially save themselves an impressive £674 with the Hampshire Bistro Set instead.
In terms of price, Dunelm is not the only retailer that the budget chain beats, as The Range is stocking another similar set with its own Oxford Rattan Bistro Set. On sale for £299.99, down from £349.99, it is still nearly £175 more expensive for two sets that look alike.
As for B&M’s Hampshire Bistro Set, the retail giant has described it as a “luxury” set that will “add a touch of style and comfort to your garden and home. Coming complete with two comfy chairs and a mini side table, it is perfect for relaxing and entertaining.
Featuring the classic wicker-effect frames that is one of 2026’s biggest garden trends, it also offers an on-trend style to any garden. The design is complete with matte black sturdy legs that will add to its durability.
Finished with premium padded cushions, it brings that touch of comfort you are looking for when wanting to soak up some rays. Meanwhile, the side table is perfect for holding snacks, tapas, drinks and even card games.
Shoppers can also complete the look with the Hampshire Folding Hanging Egg Chair that also offers the same design, so fussy households who like interiors and aesthetics to be identical will be abe to keep everything looking neat.
That’s not all, as it’s also much cheaper than Dunelm’s very own Sydney Rope Folding Egg Chair that is currently on offer for £149, down from £199, meaning there is a saving of up to £99.
With bistro sets being a popular item for gardens, particularly during spring and summer, it’s worth knowing that the high street discount chain offers a wide variety of styles that will suit all households and budgets.
Also new this year is the Madrid Bistro Set that is a touch cheaper at £85. The three-piece suite offers a string-effect style, different to the traditional rattan, making it a perfect alternative for those who prefer a more modern touch.
