Hello Any tips of our garden bed? They didn’t lay weed barrier fabric down. Is it too late to do that? What do you suggest for the hostas being ate up? Also I don’t like the mulch anymore. What can I do? The plants haven’t look full since we initially planted them. I know the plants will grow back but it’s a current pic and a pic from its “peak”

You don’t want fabric below mulch, trust me. Topdress that mulch with another 1.5-2” layer and it’ll look nice again. Change the color if you want. Your shrubs don’t even have leaves yet, so give the hosta some time to emerge.
What is the beautiful red plant?
Just pull as many weeds as you can then put more mulch on top. Avoid fabric at all costs.

Any suggestions on fertilizers? Weed killers and something to prevent the shrubs from being ate?
