Shoppers say it adds ambience (Image: Debenhams)
As the balmy weather continues, many will be making the most of their outdoor spaces, basking in the sunshine. That said, having the option of some shade can be a welcome relief.
Debenhams currently has its Neo 3M Outdoor Freestanding Parasol with LED Lights available for £89, reduced from £164.99. Available in grey, this model functions as a free-standing parasol with a cross base to ensure it stays firmly in position.
It boasts an ‘easy to operate’ crank mechanism, allowing the canopy to be adjusted to any desired angle. When not in use, it can be effortlessly folded down and packed away, offering protection against adverse weather conditions.
A particularly impressive feature is its solar LED lighting, which casts a soothing glow as the evening draws in. It is also worth highlighting that the parasol offers both UV and water-resistant properties.
For those who fancy an alternative, Argos stocks the Habitat 3m Overhanging Garden Parasol for £110. Marketed as the perfect companion for ‘alfresco lunches and lazy summer afternoons’, it incorporates an easy wind crank mechanism and comes in a classic cream finish, reports the Express.

The umbrella uses LED lights to add an inviting feel to outdoor spaces, and is ambient at night.
For something a little different, Dunelm offers the Sophie Robinson Beldi Floral Parasol for £89. This eye-catching design also features a crank opening mechanism, but stands out with its floral pattern, decorative tassels, mint trim and wood-effect pole.
Returning to the Neo 3M Outdoor Freestanding Parasol with LED Lights, which has garnered impressive reviews on Debenhams, one satisfied customer wrote: “A gorgeous addition to any garden. Very easy to assemble and operate.
“The lights provide an added ambience with not too bright a glare. There is a little switch on one of the parasol arms that needs to be flicked, which can be hard to reach if you are short like me, but I managed.
It also comes with a protective cover, which keeps it compact. Overall, very happy with the product and delivery process.” A further reviewer said: “Lovely.
“Will need weights for the stand as it tips if not with the weight of the umbrella. But it’s gorgeous, and I’m very happy with it.”
A third commented: “Excellent value, great looking parasol bought for our hot tub. Remember, the base will need anchoring either with slabs or fixing down.”
Not all feedback was entirely glowing, however, with one buyer noting: “Everything is great, but if there were counterbalances.” While another said: “Looks nice and sturdy, haven’t tested yet, waiting for sunshine.”
