we also use happy frog, it works well but would recommend buying the coconut fiber stuff you put in water and some worm casting, like 50% happy frog, 30% coconut, 20% worm castings
This came at the right time. I know this trick, I KNOW IT…. and yet I only remember that I know it the day after I’ve planted everything🤣 tomorrow is planting day, so you’ve just saved me a day of frustration on Friday🤣 thank you!
Dang I just spent the last 4 hours changing pots and this would have helped big time because I dont like compacting the soil when I switch but the they never fit seamlessly like this and I kept butchering the heck out of them
I literally do this from the moment I pull seedlings out of their seed trays. I place them in the smaller pot and then place the small pot into the bigger pot until I need to transplant into the bigger pot. I don't know why I do it that way.
I accidentally gave away my bottom watering tray 😩 I set out some free plantlets for people to take that I transplanted to cheap pots. And to keep them from drying out and dying, I put them in the watering tray. I wrongly assumed that a dirty tray full of water would not be something that someone would want to take 😭
I have empty nursery pots of all the sizes I use So I do the same thing but I use a empty pot instead of a pot with the plant in it just less chance of damaging the plant especially up pot of peppers or tomatoes

Love your vids
It's funny, I've known about this for literal years and yet I ALWAYS forget to do it 😂😂
In my 73 years I've NEVER thought of doing that with the pot to make the hole………sigh. Guess you can teach an old dog a new trick!
I've just planted an apple tree using this method! It was less than 30 minutes ago

Yor pepper will still get a rootbound crown.. and oh look at all the colours and the frog must be good soil..

I do this when I’m filling bigger pots. Happy growing growmies! 🤙🏾😎🍃🍃
You said not to fill it all the way but then you filled it all the way immediately after 🤔
Minecraft
Great sound effects 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I feel ashamed that I have never considered this.
I can't do this because the tropical mix I make is too loose and just collapses into the hole.

Compacting the soil is a bad idea. Just water it in to settle it. This looks appealing but is not the best practice.
