The Lincoln County Master Gardeners are holding their annual plant sale on Saturday, April 25 from 8am-1pm at Troy’s MU Extension Office located at 820 West College (across from Troy Middle School).

Plants for sale will includes annuals, perennials, bulbs, natives, vegetables and herbs. Plants will range in price from $4-$16 and only cash is accepted as payment.

The annual plant sale supports the organization’s projects including awarding a scholarship to a Lincoln County high school senior attending college in the fall who is majoring in an agricultural field.

The Lincoln County Master Gardeners also volunteer to maintain the historic landscape area around Woods Fort Memorial at the intersection of Boone and Main Street in Troy.

In addition, the group manages a community garden at the Lincoln County Health Department. All of the produce harvested is donated to The Key Youth Center in Troy.

Members volunteer to assist with Powell Memorial Library’s spring seed library and Arbor Day tree giveaway. In addition the group offers free educational presentations and demonstrations throughout the year, most recently holding a planting techniques demonstration at the community garden.
