The Eastlake Plant Swap will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 16 at 35150 Lakeshore Blvd.
Registration opens at 10:15 a.m. The actual plant swapping starts at 11:10 a.m., and runs until 12:30 p.m., according to a news release.
Participants are asked to bring a plant and then take a plant. They will receive a ticket for each plant they bring for another with a limit of four. Participants are asked to be sure that their plants to swap are pest and disease free.
Even if people do not have a plant to share, they should still come as organizers will make sure they leave with a plant while supplies last, the release stated.
The Eastlake Women’s Club will be hosting a basket raffle, with over 30 baskets, benefitting the Native Garden at Borac’s Landing. There will also be vendors selling home and garden products. Carhop’s Diner Dogs will be this year’s food truck.
The Lake County Master Gardeners and Mooreland Mansion Garden Club will be on hand for all plant-related questions.
