  1. How are you in a t-shirt? You're in Michigan? I'm on Cape Cod and we're still below freezing at night and maybe 40° during the day. I'm losing my mind!!! 🙏🇺🇲✌️😎

  2. Perfect time for this video, thank you. I’m in zone 7b, southern Virginia and my garlic leaves are already about 10-12” tall and I’m wondering if they will even last until July for harvesting. Can they be harvested before that time?

  3. I live in Illinois and over the winter I covered mine with hay. I don't see anything on yours; did you just remove it? I have your fertilizer, so I'm thinking now that it's spring I just need to go and carefully remove the hay and then do this.

  4. Frost on the ground and a t-shirt in the garden? Welcome to spring in Michigan! Love to see it

  5. Perhaps I missed it, but do you recommend trimming the garlic like is recommended with onions? Thanks.

  6. Love how in 2026 you have to clarify that "there is nothing wrong with cake…" lest you offend the cake-lovers.😂

  7. We've been growing garlic 15-years or so. Right now all 7 varieties are over a foot tall and most have 1/2" stalks or better. We do cover them with shredded leaves. I did just spread an NPK rich organic fertilizer on them but I just hand toss it out just before a rain, seems to work pretty well. Never have ruffed up the cake you're talking about, but it may be a good idea for a small area. I also just turn the leaves into the soil after harvest. We are in zone 6a/b

  8. I get my garlic from you, Zone 6a. This year nothing growing yet. I'm wondering if it's because of the crazy weather and if they will still grow or not. I planted them in Nov.

  9. Hi Luke, I'm in 6b Indiana and my garlic as of 4/8/26🧄 is 3-3.5 ft tall and I planted them in November… since it's my first time growing garlic is that where they should be? Also how often do I water? I love your channel!! ❤

  10. Zone 3 northern Minnesota here, i was just going to remove some of my thick layer of mulch because enough snow had melted, then bam, almost a foot of wet heavy snow ❄️ It’s supposed to rain today but it’s snowing again 😟 I just want to see soil ❤

  11. I planted hardneck garlic in early October for the first time last fall, also zone 5b. I have about 4-6 inches of shredded straw(animal bedding) and leaves on top of the bed. Green shoots are bursting through no problem, but i am worried if I leave it on they might rot because of too much moisture, what is a happy medium or am I overthinking it?

  12. The garlic I ordered from you guys last year is booming! Their leaves are already so big! Thank you for reminding me to feed my babies

  13. Nice! I needed this. I have a shiny new bag of trifecta waiting to be opened. Wasn't sure if I needed to use it on my garlic yet. Perfect timing, thanks!

  14. I just ordered Trifecta from you last week, expecting it this week. Our Garlic is looking amazing here in Northeast Ohio.

  15. Ty! I did everything you instructed last fall…for my garlic. I had 97 % germination and it is gorgeous! What perfect timing. I’ve never had beautiful garlic and am so happy, Ty MIgardener!

  16. 20260408, ~30 km SW of London Ontario (not that far from you) I woke up this morning to -8ºC (feeling colder) & yesterday morning it was -6ºC so my/our raised beds actually have a frozen layer of “soil” on the top. Before three days of very cold weather, the bed soil temp was barely 50ºF and will now be colder. Our “normal temp” for yesterday was 10ºC (~50F) and we rose to a high of 0ºC (32ºF). Yes, my/our garlic is up but I could not even begin to scratch the soil with my fingers. However, with warmer temps in the immediate forecast I, too, will be adding fertilizer to my two garlic beds.
    Good video.👍👍
