I have no clue what I’m doing but I want to make this greenhouse more aesthetically pleasing and useable. I put this plywood floor down with a frame underneath on top of the rocks so it’s sturdy to walk on but has some drainage underneath. Someone said it’s an aluminum frame with old polycarbonate panels. Is this paintable and if yes, what kind of paint? I’d also like to figure out how to make the roof leak proof or if I’d have to replace the roof and what to do for that. Any other tips or suggestions are very helpful! And please explain like I’m dumb.

First two pictures are with the new “floor” and the second is before everything

  1. I’d only paint the north side. You can paint Lexan panels with bondable polycarbonate based paints. I put a space blanket on the north side of mine to theoretically reflect more sunlight and heat in

I wouldnt even worry about the roof leak cause if anything itll help you water lol. I would definitley scrub the roof to get more light in there.

I’d take off the green shade cloth and give it a sponge bath. That should honestly do wonders. (Post the after pics)

Then at some point, I’d probably replace the entire polycarbonate panel in pic 1, the one with the hole.

The holes in the ceiling won’t be an issue unless you plan to grow through the cold season.

    Best of luck!
