Hello everyone. I’m seeking advice on getting rid of grass and weeds in a couple of beds I have at the front of my house that are covered in river rock.
Currently, the only thing I’ve planted in this bed are the plants you see in the photos attached to this post.
I don’t like to use chemicals that are harmful to the environment or animals, and as of yet, have successfully avoided, spraying with them.
I’m kind of at my wits end this spring, however. Various weeds have begun to sprout up quite a bit, and I’m struggling to keep up with pulling them.
What would you guys recommend as the best combination of effectiveness and least environmentally impactful way to eliminate or greatly reduce these weeds? Obviously, I don’t want to kill the decorative plants that I’ve put there.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I have a rock bed and this is me: https://youtube.com/shorts/y1BG1IuwjHw?si=uj8Es44gOQ6xOEnt. Let me know if you find any better solutions.
Spot treat with roundup then wait 1 month for it to totally die .
You got to dig them out they will keep growing back and pull the weeds only sure fire way to get rid of them, no substitute for hard work in landscaping
I wish that was me. Spring weeds create a lawn so there’s no getting carried away and enjoying making it ‘perfect’ this time of year.
Torch weeder. Wilt the weeds. Use a blower to keep the rock bed clear of debris and maybe even some weed seeds the rest of the time. You will still have to hand weed plants that are growing inside your ornamental plants. Even though rock doesn’t burn it would still be wise to have the hose ready for action when you weed.
I have no advice only here to wish you good luck
Weed torch with hose on standby.
