What is this tree? It’s reproducing like crazy in our backyard….little bushy pups everywhere that match the tree outlined in orange.
The roots of the new growth seem to trend toward an extreme right angle (almost like a barb)….super thick relative to the volume of leaves
Having to use a shovel to rip them up! Thanks in advance for any insight or tips

Soapberry?
Looks like soapberry. Does the tree make orange berries that are semi-translucent?
There’s a slight chance it’s tree of heaven but it doesn’t quite look right for that.
Looks like soap! I will take all those saplings if you want to part.
If it has opaque yellow berries and scented flowers, it’s a Chinaberry which is invasive and should be killed with prejudice. If it has semi translucent berries, it’s a soapberry which is native. But they spread like wildfire, so don’t feel bad about replacing it with a native that is a little more manageable. Otherwise be prepared to pull pups for the rest of your life.
I have these popping up everywhere and can’t get rid of them. My Google image search has sometimes identified it as ToH, sometimes as chinaberry. I’ve tried pretty much everything. Does anyone have tips? Knowing that this sub is super anti roundup, also curious about how to tackle something invasive like this in a non harsh chemical way.
