Some of our natives are finally starting to wake up! Pictured are Lupines, Nodding Wild Onion, Showy Goldenrod, Prairie Dropseed and Culver's Root.

Plenty more still to come up, but it's nice to see things happening!

It is way too early for those species to be emerging in MI, is it not?

  3. Fellow SE MI here, and thank goodness its finally happening. I have hairy beardtongue, purple coneflower, NE aster, mountain mint, Showy goldenrod, columbine, and golden Alexander all poking out.

I’m only in year two at my current place, but surprised to not see much from ephemerals. No re-emergence of jacobs ladder or wild geranium yet, no sign whatsoever if my Midland shooting star survived.
