I planted these probably over 2 months ago. I have fertilized at half strength with fish fertilizer weekly for the past couple weeks. I am glad to see some new leaves coming in but I was wishing I could get them in the garden sooner because it will be warming up soon. I am in zone 8B. Any advice is appreciated- it’s my first time growing peppers from seed.

These look like they’re not getting enough light.

Peppers like it hot so could be too low temperature, but they look ok to me. Takes forever for peppers to grow for me, took 300 days for one Brazilian pepper to grow and ripen

My peppers do the same. Just can’t deliver them enough light and warmth. But once the weather outside warms up, they often catch up quickly.

Are you able to put them outside for light? And then bring them in at night. I saw you’re having timer trouble.   I would shade them so they don’t bake (since you’re not home to check on them) and water at night.  Also since you’re want to plant them in the garden soon you ll need to harden them off. Peppers need warm nights- don’t rush.

Mine were slow and tiny until I got them outside AND in bigger pots/in ground. Now after like a month from potting them up outside, I have banana peppers and bell peppers already ripe and even the Carolina reapers have itty bitty fruits just set.

These in this picture were planted about a month ago. I have three 15 watt/ 4500 lumen lights hanging over two trays. About 2 inches above the plants. 16 hours or so of light per day, then a small fan 8 hours through the night. My shortest plants are about 3 inches, the tallest ones about 6. I used a heat mat until germination and then took it off. The room is probably at least 75 degrees thanks to the heat from all of the lights.
