You have some nice chonks there. I started the same thing but put them about 4 feet apart.
How long will you live here? These could do fine but if we’re talking 5+ years, I might move them further apart.
I haven’t planted any cacti in the ground so I can’t give advice, but just wanted to say you have an excellent collection there!
I really dig that privacy fence
I want to put one in ground but it’s been an ongoing war with moles and gophers so I’m debating.
Man, it’ll be perfect next to the fence for the shade. Not an expert, but from what I’ve seen, further away from the fence and maybe a little bit more spacing between. One guy had a pic of his 5 year garden progress and the cacti were huge. You don’t want to outgrow the space so quickly. Other than that, good luck, can’t wait to see the final product. More motivation for me to find a spot and put my babies in the ground.
Try to get as far from the fence as possible. They look a little close where you have them now. You are now required to post update pictures every few months until the world ends. These will be awesome in a few years time
