I bought my house last year and now that I have the space I am learning gardening for the first time. The previous owners left behind their full compost bin. The house sat empty for at least one year before we moved in and I don't know when the compost bin was last tended to before then or what is inside.
I am filling some new raised garden beds but don't have my own compost made to add. Did I strike compost gold or should the contents be tossed?

Most likely safe. Worried about something in particular?
First thing is to stir it. Then add some additional material. Many here advocate for substance P depending on how moist it is.
No compost is owner specific. It won’t break down if a new person throws in scraps. /s
that’s a lot of eggshells
