Hello, I have had this pappy's rose for about a year, it's grown well and I have a couple of props about the same size, in the last couple weeks 2 out of the 3 have started growing needle or cone shaped leaves, is there something wrong is there possibly some weird genetics at play here, it's been in the same spot the whole time growing with the rest of my succulents

Pappy’s Rose does this all the the time. The little horns are a sign it has started to crest
